OM617 and NSG370 in 90 YJ
I'm looking to swap out a 4 banger out of a 90 YJ. I have a OM617 Mercedes Diesel engine sitting in my garage. I wanna put it in the YJ seeing as its an easy engine to run... no electronics, mechanical fuel injection, can run on veggie... etc. I'd like to mate it up to a NSG370 seeing as it seems to

Loss of power and Popping or back fire sound
98 Tj, 4.0 W/Auto, stock except for Header, 31x10.50 tires, winch and warn bumper w/tire carrier. Started getting worse gas mileage, Sometimes on take off has loss of power, sounds and feels like old vehicle with choke sticking or low speed circuit too rich, smells like too rich mixture at exhaust.

Converting a NV241J to NV241OR...seems possible.
From what little information I found so far it seems like it's rather simple to convert the NV241J to a NV241OR by just changing the guts... Other than needing a longer chain and the larger driven/drive sprockets, what else is needed?

ARB Locker Noise

How to change the idler pulleys?
Howdy
I have a tj with the 4.0 liter engine and need to change the pulley out on the fan belt tension arm. I have tried to remove the mounting bolt with a torx socket with no success. what is the trick?

yj frame rotted on passenger side rear wheelwell

tranny fluid types for nv3550
nv3550 needs new fluid but dealer wants 20 dollars for a quart of theirs they say it is the only oil they stock for this trans is there any other oil i can use??? please help as i'm leaving in 3 days and need it serviced before i go any one please help
